RE: RVparkreviews.com

I wish reviewers would give a simple factual report of what was observed instead of a personal opinion of what they liked or disliked about a park. Site size, amenities offered, general maintenance, ease of RV parking, the price, lots of kids around, no kids, loose dogs, etc.
I use Bayleys in Maine as an example. It is a huge place with 400 sites or so, always hopping in the summer, very popular, good reviews, highly recommended and we got there and really did not like it. Muddy streets, 300 kids running around unsupervised on off-road three wheelers, no peace and quiet, etc.
Amen!
Here is a good example. It is possible the previous reviews were done by someone that was there during the week in fair weather. No kids and no mud. I was there and there were only 165 kids running around unsupervised.:B:B rvpark reviews has been a valuable tool for us.

RE: We camped next to the rudest people ever

Hmmm, campground rules being broken ? No walking thru campsites. Dogs should remain on a leash. Balance it out. GO SIK EM FIDO.:M (JUST KIDDIN) I don't have that problem much anymore regarding folks cutting thru my site. Probably is due to my mental state..:E The ole walk around talking to yourself works every time, but we still favor the remote control fart machine. Set that thing up in thier path and give it a blast. It is great for a laugh and they usually get embaressed when they realize they are the center of attention. All in fun. Happy Campin (tooot):B

RE: Just Venting!

7-14 days ???? Yes it was nice back then. When I camped with my parents and sisters in the 60's and 70,s, it was much like you stated. Now in the present real world, alot of us don't get extended time off and we have to wing it for the most part. We now do alot of last minute camping due to our busy work schedule. No time for planning, just pack and go. There is always a Walmart nearby to save the day. That is because we didn't have the luxury of planning to go to that special place in the boondocks not near anything. All I know is that my kids are having as much fun Camping,Rving as I did many years ago and thats all that counts.

RE: Removal of hard buildup in black tank

I always have bad luck when pressure washing as anything I pressure wash gets sprayed back on me. I don't think you would want any of the previous owners memories sprayed on you. Keep the tank full of water and Rid X for a couple of weeks and it will soften up.

RE: 91 Fleetwood Southwind wont start

I believe there is a fuse for the electric fuel pump and a relay to allow the pump to run for a few seconds to pressurize the fuel rail enough to start until oil pressure builds up to run switch. If you ran a wire to the fuel pump and tried to start it should run. (BE CAREFULL, don't do this if any fuel leaks). Good luck

RE: Where to go thats warm with young kids

Coastal Delmarva,Virginia and the Carolinas at times can be quite mild in November. Relying on the weather will be a key just prior to your trip. Hopefully the weather will cooperate so you dont have to spend most of your trip behind the wheel. Brows rvparkreviewsand check mainly to see whats open. Enjoy your trip.

RE: tranny service

Thats the right stuff. Glad to see you are doing it the right way. Alot of folks just get the flush. JMO, but I would rather drop the pan and see if there is any metal filings etc which may show a problem that you would not find with a flush.

RE: Trap Pond State Park Delaware / this week/weekend

We are hoping you had some luck this weekend. We walked around a bit Friday night around 7-8. We were going to introduce ourselves but I didn't see you at the site. There sure were alot of folks down. We wish you and your family the best. I had to work this weekend otherwise I would have stopped down during the day. Hope to see you in our travels, with Poptart.

RE: Where to go in late December?

Weathershak, I think I remember you in a pop-up with blankets covering the pop-up 4 years ago. Then a hybread followed by a hardside trailer. New puppy 2 years ago ?
We have done Myrtle Beach for the last 10 years at Christmas and now do 2 weeks. Have stayed at both Ocean Lakes and Travel Park. 840 miles (16 hours) from Jackson, MI. Ocean Lakes would be better for kids as Travel Park has more retirees that spend the winter. Much less going on but closer to shopping centers so it all depends on what you want to do. Both are very nice facilities with indoor pools. Randy
That would be me.:) WELL HI NEIGHBOR, Yes, the pop-up was achallenge those years, especially with the ocean front site.. We will be in the 2000 section up front again this year. We have reserved for 2 weeks but will have to shorten it a bit. I am looking forward to seeing all the regulars again this year. We also will be bringing down our pooch Shadow again, Along with new wiener dog Mia.:S Time for a bigger TT. Hmmmmm:h a pop-up to a hybrid to a TT to a Prevost maybe:W SEE YOU THERE AND SAFE TRAVELS
